Once Upon a Broken Heart

Evangeline Fox, a believer in true love, is heartbroken when the boy she loves becomes engaged to her step-sister. Desperate to stop the wedding, she turns to legends and strikes a bargain with the immortal Prince of Hearts, known as Jacks. In exchange for his help to halt the wedding, Jacks asks for three kisses, to be given at a time and place of his choosing. Evangeline soon learns that bargaining with an immortal is a deadly game, and Jacks—whose mere kiss can be fatal—harbors mysterious and dangerous plans for her that will result in either the greatest happily ever after or the most tragic end.
